Applications2,6-Dichlorohydroquinone is a halogenated dihydric phenol. The chlorination of the hydroquinone ring in 2,6-dichlorohydroquinone leads to increased antioxidative activity. 2,6-Dichlorohydroquinone is a metabolite of pentachlorophenate sodium in microorganisms.
