应用

Human obestatin has been used to study its role in differentiation in rat preadipocytes.[1]

It does not participate in the release of growth hormone.[1]

Obestatin, an obesity peptide, along with Ghrelin peptides are derived from the same prepropeptide, Ghrelin. In contrast to Ghrelin, Obestatin suppresses food intake, body weight gain, and gastrointestinal motility in rodents.[2]
